What rubbed me the wrong way
I
know your going to think I'm being extremely nit-picky here... but the
RAISED letters of the ARMA LASER logo need to be fixed. This might
not be such a big deal to some, but the sharp edges on the logo caught
on my pocket and inside the holsters that I tested. One of the P32's
strong points was a frame that reduces catch points and slides in and
out of whatever smoothly... ArmaLaser should emboss the logo, or at the
very least, smooth the edges considerably. If you carry this in your
front pocket the catching is not as noticeable - the smoother the lining
the worse it catches.
As ArmaLaser makes good on its promise
of holsters for this, they will have to address this issue. My carry
holster is the Uncle Mike's sidekick inside the waistband Size 10. I
don't even feel my P32 anymore in the small of my back. If ArmaLaser
could put together a holster similar to this with support for the laser
that would be great!
UPDATE!
[02.26.2006] - ArmaLaser just recently added a
holster for this on their website. I'm not big on leather
holsters for a few reasons, but I might pick one of these up when I
re-order my ArmaLaser for range testing. Go here to check it
out...

By the way - it wouldn't take much to
pull out the Dremmel and grind down the logo or smooth it out. But
ArmaLaser really should fix this in future models and make it a
non-issue.
Too
many dots.........
My
laser was projecting two dots that
were very noticeable in low light conditions. The two dot projection was annoying so I
tried to figure out why it was doing this. After messing with the
laser adjust set screw to no avail... I thought it might be the plastic
housing - but it seemed to be the laser itself. By
covering a tiny
bit of the front cover with a piece of electrical tape - It projected
the single dot as expected. I will check back with
ArmaLaser to see if
this was a damaged piece. Click on the pictures to see more
detail.
UPDATE!
[03.30.2006] -
When my GenII laser arrived the dot projection was perfect! I
talked to Rick about my double-dot issue, he informed me that it
happens sometimes and made sure that my new laser was projecting
only one dot. I'm happy now.
Attack
of the micro dust bunnies
After carrying the P32
around for a month I unscrewed the case and noticed that debris had
accumulated in the seams. Not a real problem, just make
sure you check up on this during regular cleaning. I wonder if
some kind of gasket - even a very thin one might help with keeping out
dust and pocket junk, along with moisture. I might try doing that on my
next one to see if it helps.
The Glock doc issue
The documentation seems to have been written for the
Glock version. The pictures do not match the KelTec
laser. ArmaLaser needs to create a doc just for the KelTec model that
has more detailed information and images relating to the Frame Pin
removal & Brace install. |
