Placing my Order

I placed my order for this product on Jan 12th 2006 after speaking with Rick Hovsepian on the phone for about 25 minutes or more. He was very helpful and told me all about the first vs. second generation models of the KelTec P32 and the fit issues for the laser. From the conversation with Rick, I felt that he had a genuine enthusiasm for his product and he was very confident in the fact that I would be pleased with the construction and function of the laser. He mentioned to me that If I was not satisfied with it – he would be more than happy to accept my return.

With some of the nit-picking that I might have done in this review - I can't complain about my dealings with ArmaLaser at all.  I have to mention the professional treatment that I received from Rick.  Rick was very helpful with my pre-sales questions on the phone & responded to my emails quickly.

I threw a custom shipping option at him - after placing the order last minute - and he still shipped on time. There was even a mistake made on my end with my PayPal payment for the extra shipping - but Rick made sure that my package went out. I felt very comfortable handing over my cash to ArmaLaser after dealing with Rick. In today's overall crappy customer service climate - it was good to deal with someone that took time and effort to make sure I was happy.

Returning the Product

I knew when I bought this laser that I was very likely to return it - so that I could write about the experience of the return process with ArmaLaser. I have to admit... I really hated to take this laser off of my P32. Over the past month I've grown to like the feel, functionality and looks (come on - you know it looks cool...) of the ArmaLaser on my favorite carry gun.  Not to mention the fact that adding a laser statistically decreases the chance of having to use lethal force... But - I finally did return it - and here is what happened.

As mentioned before Rick told me if I wasn't happy with the product - he would accept a full refund.   But most companies have to offer some type of refund within 30 days so I waited till after my 30 was up to see what happened. I also checked the website to see if there was any mention of a return policy. I couldn't find anything - so I decided to send Rick and email that was short - but explained my desire to return the laser. Below you can read the email I sent.

Rick,

First of all - thanks for the extra effort you put into shipping this to me when I placed my order. Dealing with your company has been an wonderful experience, but I regret to inform you that I would like to request and RMA for this product.

The two main reasons for the RMA request are as follows:

1. The double dot laser that is projected.
2. The raised letters on the ArmaLaser logo catch on pockets and clothing.

Please let me know what I need to do to.

Thanks in advance!

-Chad

Within 20 minutes he sent back this response:

"Sorry it didn't work out for you but no problem at all to return the piece.  Please ship back to our address below and we will issue a refund immediately upon the return."

So, I shipped it back and they should be receiving it any day now.  I will post the details when the return is complete, but I expect no problems.  I'm excited to share this review with ArmaLaser and re-purchase this item for range testing.

UPDATE! [03.30.2006] - I noticed on the website that the original $139 was now showing as an Introductory price, so I decided to call Rick and tell him to cancel my return and ship me out a new one.  Apparently within days after I mailed in my return, the ArmaLaser was already shipping a generation II model. I was excited to get this in and range test it.  Check it out...
